The Roaring Decades

Process

Finals

This concept began in my first year of college with an assignment to design a logo and billboards for a theme park. I imagined The Roaring Decades a place where time itself becomes the adventure. Inspired by Epcot, the park swaps world travel for time travel, guiding guests through twelve immersive lands that capture the spirit of each decade from the 1910s to the 2000s. The journey ends with two futuristic zones that look ahead to what’s next. Every design choice from the logo to the billboard visuals was meant to evoke nostalgia, energy, and the ever-turning rhythm of the eras.

This project revisits The Roaring Decades Theme Park billboards and logo, expanding beyond the 1920s aesthetic of my original designs. I realized my first concepts were one-sided, so this redesign focused on showcasing more of the park’s eras and atmosphere.

I refined the park’s logo to feel more cohesive across decades, then created three updated billboards: Golden Rail Express, evoking the cinematic energy of early industry; The Disco Pit, bursting with 1970s color, music, and motion; and Nova District: The Luminara Festival, glowing with futuristic light and celebration. Together, these designs tell a broader story of The Roaring Decades—a world that moves through time, style, and imagination.

I started by refining the park’s logo to create a more adaptable identity — one that could transition smoothly between decades while maintaining brand consistency. The updated logo now ties each billboard together as part of one cohesive world.
